Ayrton Senna da Silva (1960 – 1994)

Born in São Paulo, Brazil on 21 March 1960, Ayrton Senna rose from karting to become one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time. Known for his extraordinary talent, relentless determination, and deep spiritual connection with racing, Senna won 3 World Championships (1988, 1991, 1994) and secured 41 Grand Prix victories and 65 pole positions.

Senna raced for Toleman, Lotus, McLaren, and briefly Williams. He is forever linked with the iconic McLaren MP4/8 in the legendary red and white Marlboro livery.

McLaren MP4/8 (1993)

Designed by Neil Oatley, the MP4/8 was McLaren’s challenger in the 1993 Formula One season. Powered by a Ford HB 3.5-litre V8, it featured advanced electronics and compensated for power deficit through superior chassis balance and Senna’s skill.
